It has been a month since Japan was hit by the magnitude 9.0 earthquake and the tsunami that devastated much of the country’s North East coast on March 11, 2011. To add insult to injury, the country has had to deal with the nuclear crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi plant.
Recovery has started but it is a daunting, overwhelming task. Many, many people are still suffering, having lost family, their homes, all their possessions and their livelihood in what is said to be the costliest natural disaster in recorded history. Yes, Japan is a wealthy country, but the people of Japan need the world’s help to overcome this crisis, maintain hope and to recover.
JUARA has pledged 10% of all online sales generated at www.juaraskincare.com since March 13 to goto the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund of the Japan Society. We have decided to extend this campaign until the end of April. JUARA Co-Founder Yoshiko will personally match the proceeds to benefit the victims of the disaster.
As a token of appreciation for your purchase, we will include this “Help Japan Recover” awareness pin with every order. Please spread the word!
Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the disaster and hope that together, we can help ease their suffering.
Founded in 1907, Japan Society was created to bring the people of Japan and the United States closer together through mutual understanding, appreciation and cooperation. Over the years Japan Society has partnered with several Japanese and American non-profits working on the frontlines of disaster relief and recovery.
