We’re 4 women, Metta Murdaya, Yoshiko Roth, Jill Sung and Tami Chuang, who wanted to create a natural, botanical based skincare line inspired by the Indonesian herbal tradition, known as Jamu, as well as the spa rituals. Empowered with an entrepreneurial dream, we launched in 2004 in New York City, and here we are today – living the dream, for all its craziness and rewards. We love it.

We’re like many of you, young at heart, ambitious, loves life, respects health and more. We’re single, we’re mothers, and between us have a ton of hobbies – ranging from Salsa Dancing and Yoga to Rock Climbing, and Stick Fighting. Approachable and some say even spunky, we create products that try to reflect the needs of someone who wants a healthy lifestyle yet also enjoys the pleasures of life and all it has to offer.
